Margaret Roberts Willow 2020, tape and location, ReConstruction, The Cross Art Projects, November 2020 (Photo: the artist)

Willow is a life-sized reconstruction of the bay window and front door of the footprint of Willow Grove, a colonial house in Parramatta that has been so far protected but is now facing destruction. The relocation of its footprint from Paramatta to Kings Cross reflects plans to relocate the actual building to another location in Parramatta to make way for the new Power House Museum development. It is shown in the context of an exhibition to honour Jack Mundey and the Green Bans that resisted over-development in Sydney in the 1970s.
